Treasure Chest and Heart Trinket
Kingdom Hearts QAL Week 5
Treasure Chest and Heart Border Trinket
The Treasure Chest was one of those patterns that I was completely surprised with. I wanted a side view to give somewhat of a 3D effect. It took a bit of playing around with line placement for the right look. I made 3 total. The last one I made using the blue fabric , it turned out so cool.
The next border trinket I put into the 60×70 quilt layout is the small heart. I have used this pattern in a couple other projects also.
Verena Glöckner tested both patterns for me.Cheryl Cooper tested the Heart Trinket Thank you Verena and Cheryl!

TTMT #51 KH Week 4 and FMQ
The Kingdom Keyblade
Kingdom Hearts QAL Week 4
Kingdom Keyblade
Only one pattern this week, because I think the Keyblades are special!
This is the very first pattern I attempted to make for the KH quilt way back in January 2019. This is also one of the first patterns I used EQ8 to make. At the time I didn’t realize my desktop computer wasn’t up for the task. After fighting with EQ8, random computer crashes, researching issues, and just about ready to throw in the towel I decided it was time for an upgrade. I purchased this new bright and shiny gaming laptop. The main reason I chose a gaming laptop is because they are usually very good with graphics and I didn’t want anything to hold me back. I’m writing this almost a year later and I have to say the laptop has been wonderful.
By the time the computer was taken care of I had made the blade about 6 times. SIX times! It was great practice, maybe Sora was telling me I am not the wielder of the Keyblade.
I know the blades are a bit more intimidating than the other patterns, but they are so worth doing. The latest copy I decided to make in King Mickeys colors (just swap the gold and silver).
Verena Glöckner and Cheryl Cooper tested the pattern for me. Thank you Verena and Cheryl!

Kingdom Hearts QAL Week 3
Cave Drawing and the Key
When I first thought about making the cave drawing I was really over complicating it. After playing with it for a bit I decided to go with a clean simple look. I knew I wanted the Paopu Fruit to be yellow.
Depending on what layout version you decide to make will depend on the final size of the pattern.
The border trinket “Key” is so cute. I used it in the 60×70 quilt as an accent piece.
Cheryl Cooper tested the Cave Drawing for me. Thank you Cheryl!

Kingdom Hearts QAL Week 2
Anyone who may be reading my blog… I do plan on getting the weeks caught up. So sorry in advance for the extra notifications.
Sora and the Crown
For whatever reason working on pattern faces is intimidating for me. I originally made a blank face, like in other fandom patterns, but my husband kept saying it didn’t look right. He needs a face! That’s when decided to try closed eyes, nose, and mouth. When I see the closed eyes, I envision Sora falling through the clouds and the theme song being played.
Depending on what layout version you decide to make will depend on the final size of the pattern.
I love the little crowns in the corners of the quilt. I started calling the small border patterns “Trinkets”. There’s several of them so keep an eye out for options.

TTMT #50 KH Week 3 and Fundraising
TTMT #49 Week 2 of the KH quilt and charity quilts
Please excuse me today. My right ear is completely swollen and hearing myself talk is weird.
I’m adding a few pictures of the charity quilts and the orange fabrics I have used.
